This comprehensive 19-hour course, available from April to November, is designed to enhance your mental and physical riding skills, making you a safer and more responsible motorcyclist.

The course includes 5 hours of online training, which must be completed before attending the weekend in-person sessions. Classes run on Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM at SouthernTech, Building 600, located at 2610 Sam Noble Parkway, Ardmore, OK 73401. The program provides a 250 CC motorcycle for use during the course, but you'll need to bring your own DOT or SNELL-approved helmet, sturdy over-the-ankle footwear, eye protection, long-sleeved shirt or jacket, long pants, and full-fingered gloves.

This course is ideal for anyone planning to ride a motorcycle, especially those under 18, as Oklahoma law requires them to complete a Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) course to obtain an "L" endorsement on their license. Upon successful completion, the DMV driving and written tests will be waived for adults, and you'll receive the "L" endorsement—a recent change from the traditional "M" endorsement, adding a touch of DMV humor about motorcycles being "Loud."
